Colors of the Piano
Real-time LED piano music visualization
This was my final project in one of the design courses I took over the summer. I used a strip of LEDs that was powered by an Arduino in order to visualize piano music; functionality wise, it pairs LED brightness with music volume, LED color with pitch, and LED pattern with chord complexity. The project was selected as one of UC Berkeley’s Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation’s featured student projects and was featured on the Electromaker show.
